NFL Star Turned Ranger Dies in Afghan Firefight
Pat Tillman, a former NFL defensive back who spurned a multi-million dollar contract to join the U.S. Army, has been killed during a firefight in Afghanistan. Tillman enlisted in the Army's elite Rangers unit after the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. NPR's Tom Goldman reports.
