High Court to Hear Detainee Cases
The Supreme Court hears arguments in two cases on whether the president can decide whether an American citizen is an enemy combatant who can be imprisoned indefinitely without charge. The justices are reviewing the cases of U.S. citizens Yaser Hamdi and Jose Padilla. Hamdi was captured in Afghanistan and Padilla was detained in Chicago. NPR's Nina Totenberg reports.
