Supporters of affirmative action are trying to thwart Ward Connerly's latest initiative, which would ban race and gender-based preferences in five states.

Shanta Driver, national co-chair of By Any Means Necessary (BAMN), is among them.

She explains how and why she is working to preserve affirmative action initiatives.
