Abdul Rahman was an African prince, captured and enslaved in the United States for 40 years before gaining his freedom.

A new documentary airing on PBS, A Prince Among Slaves, tells his incredible story.

The film, narrated by rapper/actor Mos Def, is directed by Bill Duke.
