Ten Nations Added to European Union

Ten more nations join the European Union Saturday, including eight former Soviet satellites. The 25-member body was supposed to signal the reunification of the continent, but the new members have a combined GDP of less than five percent of the current 15 members, and there are fears on both sides about the economic impact of merging these economies. NPR's Sylvia Poggioli reports.
