Malta is one of the ten new nations becoming part of the European Union Saturday. But there is not a single official interpreter of the Maltese language who can serve at the EU. NPR's Scott Simon speaks with a professor of Maltese who discusses why there is such a dearth of Maltese language interpreters and translators.
