Vietnamese General Recalls Dien Bien Phu

On the 50th anniversary of the French defeat at Dien Bien Phu, Vietnamese Gen. Vo Nguyen Giap — now 92 — speaks with members of the media. He says the victory showed the Vietnamese they could defeat a colonial power. He would go on to stymie U.S. efforts in Vietnam. NPR's Michael Sullivan reports.
