President Bush is expected to sign off on an economic stimulus bill Wednesday that would supply millions of Americans with a check for $600 to $1200. Madeleine Brand talks to personal finance expert Michelle Singletary about what you should do with that cash. Although it may be tempting to buy an extra pair of designer shoes or skis, she says, the money would be more wisely placed elsewhere.
