At least 12 Palestinians are killed during an Israeli military raid aimed at uprooting suspected militants in the Rafah refugee camp in the Gaza Strip. Despite an international outcry, Israel says the purpose of the operation is not to demolish civilian homes but to destroy the terrorist infrastructure.
