Starbucks begins offering an "individually brewed premium" coffee for $2.50. It's also catering to the cost-cutting crowd with a new $1 cup of coffee in some shops.
RENEE MONTAGNE, host:
And if you are trying to save money, you may want to hold off buying Starbucks newest offering. Our last word in business is $2.50. It's not a latte, not a mochachino, just plain old joe. It's competing with McDonald's, where a cup of coffee is $1.39.
