Record Companies Sue over Copyrights
Major record labels file a new round of lawsuits accusing computer users of illegally downloading music over the Internet, raising the number of those sued to nearly 3,000. Industry officials say the suits are meant to protect artists. But some in the business say the way the industry handles royalties undermines that claim.
