Lost Son: Visiting a Soldier's Comrades-in-Arms
NPR's Madeleine Brand talks with Gary Brattain, whose son, Pfc. Joel Brattain, was killed in Iraq in March. Last week, Gary Brattain went to Fort Bragg, N.C., to visit members of his son's company — the 82nd Airborne — and the families of other soldiers who were killed while fighting in Iraq.
