U.S. Withdraws from Global Health Council

After 30 years of U.S. participation in the nonprofit Global Health Council, the Bush administration declines a further role and cuts off funding. Conservatives opposed the inclusion of groups that provide abortion services. White House officials say the council engaged in lobbying, rather than simply advocating for better health. NPR's Brenda Wilson reports.
