A California Inspiration for 'Mega-Transect' Explorer

NPR's Alex Chadwick takes a hike in the San Gabriel Mountains with famed biologist and explorer Michael Fay, whose interest in wild spaces was sparked by a childhood hiking in the California wilderness. Fay is best know for his "mega-transect" of some of the wildest, most remote jungles of Africa.
