Day to Day debuts a new series of interviews and profiles for Radio Expeditions, a co-production of NPR and the National Geographic Society. NPR's Alex Chadwick talks with biologist and explorer Michael Fay, who gained fame as the leader of a grueling "mega-transect" of some of the wildest and most inaccessible jungles of central Africa. Fay sets off on Saturday on a year-long aerial survey of Africa, in search of the most remote wilderness on the continent.
