Acclaimed Artist Lezley Saar's latest works are inspired by her 16-year-old daughter, who has autism. Saar has transformed her family's struggle with autism into something positive; she uses it for new and innovative approaches to her art.

NPR's Farai Chideya talks with Saar about her challenge of nurturing a child through mental illness.
