In light of the Texas primary on March 4, which carries a mother lode of delegates, commentator Alexandro Jose Gradilla sees a political paradox, in which he says candidates promise to "love the Latino voter" even as they "hate the illegal alien."

The question, Gradilla says, is this: Do the two main parties "love" Latino voters in that disposable way, or do they really want an enduring relationship?
