The former president of the former Yugoslavia, Slobodan Milosevic, is scheduled to open his defense on July 5 at the International Criminal Tribunal in the Hague. He is charged with genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes in Croatia, Bosnia and Kosovo in the 1990s. Hear NPR's Scott Simon and tribunal president Judge Theodor Meron.
