Findings from the commission probing the U.S. government's response to terrorism before and after the attacks of September 11, and the murder of an American contractor in Saudi Arabia, were at the forefront of this week's news. To get a perspective on the American response outside the Beltway, NPR's Liane Hansen speaks to three newspaper editors across the country: Ken Bunting of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer; Pat Yack of the Florida Times-Union in Jacksonville; and Kate Nelson of the Albuquerque Tribune.
