Allison Aubrey is a health correspondent focusing on stories related to wellness, fitness, and nutrition. Her stories can be heard on Morning Edition's Your Health segment which airs Monday mornings.

In 2009, Aubrey was awarded both the American Society for Nutrition's Media Award for her reporting on food and nutrition and the Kaiser Media Fellowship in Health. She is also the winner of the 2006 National Press Club Award for Consumer Journalism in the radio category. She was awarded a 2005 Medical Evidence Fellowship by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Knight Foundation.

Aubrey joined NPR in 1998 as a science reporter. Before taking on the health beat, her reportage includes coverage of natural disasters, environmental policy, and general assignment Washington coverage for NPR's National Desk.

Before coming to NPR, Aubrey was a reporter for the MacNeil/Lehrer NewsHour and held other posts in television.

A Louisville, KY, native, Aubrey received her B.A. from Denison University and her M.A. from Georgetown University. Outside NPR, her life is busy as the mother of two boys.
