NPR MUSIC PRESENTS FIRST LISTEN LIVE WITH ARCADE FIRE, MONDAY, OCTOBER 28, 10PM (ET) / 7PM (PT)
Band Performs Highlights of 'Reflektor' at NPR.org/music and on Public Radio Stations
NPR Music presents a "First Listen Live" performance from Arcade Fire on Monday, October 28, at 10pm (ET)/7pm (PT). A day before the release of its highly-anticipated new album, the Grammy-winning band plays never before heard songs from its ambitious effort Reflektor during exclusive broadcasts available at NPR.org/music and on public radio stations nationwide – including KCRW Los Angeles, KEXP Seattle, KUTX Austin, WFUV New York, WXPN Philadelphia and The Current from Minnesota Public Radio (check local listings).
From the Hollywood landmark Capitol Studios, frontman Win Butler leads listeners through many highlights of the group's expansive 75-minute fourth album. A version of the concert will be archived for later listening at the NPR Music site: http://n.pr/H8f4GF
"This is an incredible opportunity to experience an unreleased, unheard double album," says host of NPR Music's All Songs Considered Bob Boilen. "Think of all the classic double albums: The White Album, Blonde On Blonde or London Calling. Imagine if you heard them performed live first."
NPR Music collaborates with NPR's newsmagazines, public radio Member stations and the passionate NPR community to celebrate great music in every genre.
