The Ghost Of Hatchet Mountain
SCOTT SIMON, HOST:
A few weeks ago, our friends on WEEKEND EDITION Sunday asked you to share ghost stories, the kind that become part of family lore. Rita Hosking grew up in a house on Hatchet Mountain in California. And the word around town was it was haunted. Rita didn't believe it until one morning...
RITA HOSKING: In the corner, sort of coexisting with the plant, was a little blond-haired boy. He was looking right at me and I just flew out the door, ran down the hill and held on to my favorite tree because I was so frightened.
SIMON: Tomorrow on WEEKEND EDITION Sunday, more of your tales of haunted houses, helpful haints and demon dolls. Ahhh. This is WEEKEND EDITION from NPR News. I'm Scott Simon.
