Interim Haitian Prime Minister Gerard Latortue is seeking around $1 billion from international donors to help rebuild his troubled nation. Latortue took over daily governance following last winter's unrest and is trying to arrange elections for next year. He has given Haitian rebels a September deadline to disarm. Latortue speaks with NPR's Steve Inskeep.
