HUD Loophole Aids College Athletes
In some college towns across the country, athletes on scholarship are living in federally subsidized Section 8 housing. Under federal rules, their scholarships and stipends are not counted as income. Housing advocates and members of Congress say students are taking housing intended for the truly needy. NPR's Greg Allen reports.
