Sadr Offers to Give Up Control of Najaf Shrine

An aide to Muqtada al-Sadr says the radical cleric has offered to hand over control of the revered shrine of the Imam Ali in Najaf to Iraq's senior Shiite leader. Sadr's offer follows a night of deadly fighting around the mosque. Hear NPR's Steve Inskeep and Karl Vick of The Washington Post.
