NPR's Jennifer Ludden gets an assessment of the fighting in Iraq from Col. Patrick Lang, a former director of Middle East intelligence at the Defense Intelligence Agency. Lang says the insurgent attacks and bombings are part of Iraq's political process, and should be understood in the context of the Arab world.
