As expected, the Kremlin's choice of Chechnya's new president was elected Sunday. Election officials said there was a high turnout, even though many observers say there were few voters seen at the polling booths. The results come as authorities continue to investigate last week's air crashes. NPR's Lawrence Sheets reports.
