Cardiac rehabilitation helps patients recover faster after heart surgery, and also helps them to avoid further surgery or hospitalization. Many experts say a rehabilitation program of exercise and counseling about nutrition and medication is key to long-term, post-surgery success. NPR's Patricia Neighmond reports.
