Brazil's government has tried to reduce the number of firearms in circulation by encouraging gun owners to turn in their weapons. NPR's Martin Kaste reports from Rio de Janeiro that some Brazilians are reluctant to give up their guns, while others doubt that the government's gun-control efforts will actually curb violence.
