Congress Extends Tax Cuts, Passes Along Costs
Congress extends $146 billion worth of popular, middle-class tax cuts and adds the cost onto future federal budget deficits. The cuts were scheduled to expire at the end of this year. Some lawmakers say the fiscal implications of the tax cuts are overshadowed by election-year politics. Hear NPR's Andrea Seabrook.
