The Taj Mahal — built by an emperor grieving for his beloved wife — turns 350 this year. A grand national party is planned, but due to pollution concerns it will be held 130 miles away. Officials from the state of Agra hoped the birthday would boost tourism, which has dropped dramatically since 2001.
