'Morning Edition' Returns: A Facelift for the $50 Bill

The new — more patriotic — $50 bill goes into circulation. Red and blue have been added to the bill's traditional white background, along with other changes designed to thwart counterfeiters. Ulysses S. Grant will now have "United States of America" written in tiny letters on his collar, tucked under his beard.
