Days after storming the Iraqi city of Samarra, U.S. military officials call the offensive a success. Troops with the U.S. Army's 1st Infantry Division surrounded the insurgent stronghold and now report the city is calm. They hope to maintain order in the months leading up to the planned national elections in January. NPR's Emily Harris reports.
