NPR's Linda Wertheimer talks with Stanford University historian Richard White about the dramatic demise of the Dalton Gang in October 1892 in Coffeyville, Kansas. The infamous group of brothers and stragglers tried to rob two banks in their home town but were recognized and killed by locals.
