A videotape broadcast on Arab television shows three kidnapped United Nations election workers. Japanese officials confirm that a headless body wrapped in an American flag recovered in Iraq is that of a Japanese hostage.

Also, analysts at Johns Hopkins University issue a report that more than 100,000 Iraqi civilians have died as a direct or indirect result of the conflict following the invasion of Iraq. Hear NPR's Liane Hansen.
