Afghans Adjust to Loss of Antiquities Collections
Decades of war have destroyed Afgan museums, many of which contained artifacts from the Paleolithic era, the time of Alexander the Great, and from 7th century Buddhist civilizations. Today, most of the exhibits on display are merely photographs of what was once one of the most important collections of antiquities in Asia. NPR's Ivan Watson reports from Kabul.
