November 8, 2004 - The latest release from Paul McCartney isn't a song or CD, but a photo book chronicling his celebrated 2002 world tour. Each One Believing: On Stage, Off Stage and Backstage offers a behind-the-scenes peek into life on the road with Sir Paul, from his historic concert in Moscow's Red Square to foot soaks with the band.

The book features reflections by McCartney, his band and crew and hundreds of intimate photographs. Official tour photographer Bill Bernstein trekked across the world with the band from New York in the days following Sept. 11 to the rest of North America, Europe and Japan.

On the tour, McCartney revived tunes from his long career, including many from the late Beatles period that had never been performed on stage. "It was a great joy for me to look at these songs and rediscover them," he tells NPR's Michele Norris. "People assume that I remember all of them, but I've written too many, so I've got to look at them. I've got to listen to the record."
