Ivory Coast Sees Four Days of Violence
The African Union dispatches South African President Thabo Mbeki on a mission to forge a political solution in Ivory Coast. Abidjan, the West African nation's major city, has been the scene of four days of violence. It was triggered by Saturday's government air raid on rebel-held town that killed nine French peacekeepers and an American aid worker. NPR's Renee Montagne talks with reporter Carrie Giardino in Abidjan.
