Following the resignation of Attorney General John Ashcroft Tuesday, White House Counsel Alberto Gonzales is selected to take the post. If confirmed by the Senate, the longtime adviser to President Bush would be the first Hispanic to run the Justice Department. NPR's Nina Totenberg reports.
