November 11, 2004 - Composer Aaron Copland talks about one of his operas, The Tender Land during his 1980 interview with the late NPR producer Fred Calland.

Not one of Copland's more successful endeavors, the opera did add texture to his Americana work.

Following Copland's remarks, we hear him conducting the Boston Symphony Orchestra in a performance of The Tender Land.
