Pennsylvania Republican Arlen Specter was the natural choice to head the Senate Judiciary Committee. That is until he upset evangelical Christians by saying anti-abortion judicial nominees may have a tough time getting to the Senate floor. But Specter has gained the necessary support of several key colleagues. Hear NPR's David Welna.
