Richard Rodgers, Charlie Chaplin and William Bolcom

Audio for this story from Performance Today is not available.

We hear three encore pieces by American composers. First, from a recital Stephen Hough gave in Atlanta, "March of the Siamese Children," which Hough himself arranged from "The King and I," by Richard Rodgers. Then violinist Leila Josefwicz and pianist John Novacek treat their audience to something extra with "Smile," by Charlie Chaplin. And finally, we hear William Bolcom's "Graceful Ghost" rag, played by pianist Christopher Taylor.
