Fed Raises Rates by a Quarter Point

The Federal Reserve is raising interest rates for the fifth time since June. The quarter-point increase will put the federal funds rate at 2 1/4 percent. Fed policymakers say that they plan to keep raising interest rates for the foreseeable future. NPR's Jim Zarroli reports.
