European Union Considers Membership for Turkey

European heads of state gather in Brussels for a summit to begin talks over Turkish membership in the European Union. The decision is seen as crucial, one that will determine whether Turkey moves towards the West, or is caught between Europe and the Middle East. Turks remain divided on the issue.
