Ex-Hostage Rosen Returns to Middle East

Barry Rosen, a survivor of the 1979 Iranian hostage crisis at the U.S. Embassy in Tehran, has returned to the region to help humanitarian efforts in Afghanistan. Rosen, once an Iran scholar in the Foreign Service, had been working in the media department of Columbia University's Teachers College. Hear Rosen and NPR's Jennifer Ludden.
