Country singer Chely Wright's pro-military single "The Bumper of My SUV," appeared to strike a chord when callers claiming to be in the military or related to troops repeatedly called radio stations to request the song. But it was later reported than an overzealous fan club had used deceit to help win over deejays. NPR's Michele Norris talks with Jeanne Anne Naujeck of The Tennessean.
