A Los Angeles Times editorial published Friday refers to a much earlier, much less charitable opinion piece that ran in the paper in 1910, after African-American boxer Jack Johnson won the heavyweight title. NPR's Robert Siegel talks to Mary Engel, Times editorial page writer.
