Oregon Seeks Alternative to Gasoline Tax

Oregon is considering what to do when more fuel-efficient vehicles begin to lower gasoline tax revenues. Instead of taxing gasoline by the gallon, Oregon is considering a tax based on mileage. Cars and trucks would be equipped with GPS technology that would record miles driven.
