The Supreme Court hears arguments on whether juries mulling the death penalty must be told if life without parole is an option. In a case from Pennsylvania, the law did not permit the judge to answer the jury's question about whether the defendant could get parole if sentenced to life. NPR's Nina Totenberg reports.
