Annabelle Gurwitch

Actress Annabelle Gurwitch is best known to television audiences from her years hosting the cult favorite Dinner and a Movie on TBS. She has appeared in numerous TV series and films, including Life With Mikey, Daddy Day Care, Seinfeld, Suddenly Susan, Charmed, and the remake of the Disney film The Shaggy Dog. Her film Melvin Goes to Dinner, directed by Bob Odenkirk, played on The Sundance Channel and was recently released on DVD.
Gurwitch is also a writer whose work has been published in Glamour, Los Angeles Magazine and Cooking Light, and her essays regularly appear in the online literary salon FreshYarn.com. She produced the one-woman play Fired! Tales of Jobs Gone Bad at the off-broadway Second Stage Theatre in New York City — Fired! also played in Los Angeles' Theatreworks in its 2005 season. A book version, Fired! Tales of the Caned, Canceled, Downsized and Dismissed, was published by Simon and Schuster in 2006, and her Fired! documentary had its world premiere at the 2006 SXSW film festival.
